Link to Buckeye Firearms Association and Help Us Grow!
To be effective, Buckeye Firearms Association needs to reach as many people as possible. And YOU can help. Simply put a link to http://www.BuckeyeFirearms.org on your personal site or submit a link to any Web site you like. This could be a link to our home page or a link to specific articles.
Basic Links
The most obvious way to create a link to BFA is to place a link to our homepage on a Web site. If you have a site or a blog, this should be easy for you. Use http://www.BuckeyeFirearms.org as the link.
If you want to link to a specific page, navigate to that page and copy and paste the address in the address bar at the top of your browser to wherever you want the link to appear on your site.
If you want to put our logo on your site and have the logo link to us, right click on the logo here and select "save image as" to download the logo to your computer. Upload the logo to the primary folder on your Web site. Then add the following code where you want the linked image to appear:
< a href="http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/">< img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/BFA_logo_links.jpg">< /a>
NOTE: You'll need to change "www.yourwebsite.com" to the actual address for your site. You will also need to remove the spaces after each "<" to make it work on your site. If you want to store the image file in another folder, change the code accordingly.
If you know of other sites that you think would place a link to us, you will need to submit our link or ask for a "link exchange," which means they link to us and we link to them. We are always happy to consider any link exchange, as long as the other site does not contain illegal or offensive content.
To do a link exchange, contact someone at the other Web site and politely ask. You can usually do this by e-mail. If they agree, let us know through our contact form and we'll put a link to their site in our Web Links area. You will need to provide us with their site name, URL address, and a short description (which you can usually cut and paste from their site.)
Here's the information you will need to provide to the other site. You can cut and past directly from this page.
Site name: Buckeye Firearms Association
Web site URL: http://www.BuckeyeFirearms.org
Description: Buckeye Firearms Association is a grassroots political action committee (PAC) dedicated to defending and advancing the right of Ohio citizens to own and use firearms for all legal activities, including self-defense, hunting, competition, and recreation. With the help of our donors and volunteers, we work to elect pro-gun candidates and lobby for pro-gun legislation. Named GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR by CCRKBA!
Bookmark Links
Another way to create links to this site is to use the "Bookmark" button you'll find at the end of every article. This lets you create links to specific articles on popular social bookmarking sites such as Google, Digg, Facebook, and many others. If you're not clear on what this is, read about social bookmarking on Wikipedia.
The traffic we can get from social sites can be huge. And it's a fun way to connect with others who share your interests.
Advanced Links: Put BFA News on Your Site!
Want something a little more exciting than simple linking? Why not put our articles on your site? It's easy. All you have to do is add a little snippet of code to your Web page.
When you have this code on your site, our news stories will be automatically fed to your page. A headline and a short excerpt of the story will appear along with a small version of our logo.

Banner Links
Here are a couple banners you can use to link people to our site. All you do is save one of the graphics below and upload it to your Web site or blog. Then insert the corresponding code on your Web page where you want the banner to appear.
Use this code:
< a href="http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/">< img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/bfa-banner-red.png">< /a>
Use this code:
< a href="http://www.cafepress.com/buckeyefirearms">< img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/bfa-banner-green.png">< /a>NOTE: You'll need to change "www.yourwebsite.com" to the actual address for your site. You will also need to remove the spaces after each "<" to make it work on your site. If you want to store the image file in another folder or give the banner graphic a different name, change the code accordingly.
Why Linking Is So Important
Buckeye Firearms Association is an all volunteer organization. Our leaders, donors, and volunteers are spread all over the state. So our "headquarters" is this Web site. This is why linking to our site is VERY IMPORTANT. Putting our link in many places can help us in many ways. It can:
- Lead more people to this Web site where our articles expose the lie of gun control.
- Grow our newsletter subscription list to enable us to reach thousands more pro-gun voters.
- Increase donations which pay for mailings, gun show literature, and support for pro-gun candidates.
- Broaden our pool of volunteers who are the heart of our organization.
- Boost public awareness of the organization and magnify our influence in the Statehouse.
You can help us do all this and more by linking to the site and submitting links to other sites. Surprised? Don't be. It's the little things that often make the biggest difference.
And here's the kicker: The anti-gun groups can't do this the way we can. That's because they rely on big donations from a handful of wealthy activists without much grassroots support. But while we don't have rich connections, we have a HUGE grassroots base that supports gun rights and the Second Amendment. Linking is one of our most powerful weapons.
