Another innocent life saved with gun after attempted mugging

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that a man with a concealed handgun license shot at an armed robber who was among a group of four teenagers who tried to mug him.

From the story:

Raphael L. Owens, 24, told police that the group approached him about 11:30 p.m. near the Elmore Avenue and South Portage Path. One of the youths pointed a chrome-plated gun at him and demanded his cell phone, which he gave up.

The robber then asked, "What else do you have?" Owens tried to run, but the robber grabbed his arm. Owens broke free, pulled his gun and fired one shot, missing the teens, who took off running.

The victim then ran to a pay phone, but before he could call for help, the teens approached him again. When a gun was leveled at him a second time, the CHL-holder fired again, scaring off the armed robbers for good.
