Clinton Starring In Cleveland Fundraiser For Hagan’s Campaign
Submitted by cbaus on Fri, 09/13/2002 - 16:34.Bill Clinton will host a fund-raiser in Cleveland for Democratic candidate Tim Hagan. Clinton’s appearance is part of a three-state trip to Ohio, Illinois and Michigan to support Democratic candidates. Clinton will speak at the Hagan event.
Hagan hopes Clinton’s star power can help him raise some campaign funds. Reports filed last week show Governor Bob Taft has $8.4 million on hand. By comparison, Hagan, a former Cuyahoga County Commissioner, has $586,000.
“I’m honored that President Clinton is coming to Ohio to campaign for me and the entire Democratic state ticket,” Hagan says. “The fact President Clinton is coming to Ohio demonstrates that he and the Democratic National Committee believe Ohio is a critical and competitive state this year.”

How does PAC money get used?
Submitted by cbaus on Fri, 09/13/2002 - 09:27.It has been said that at the end of the money trail lies the answer to any question.
We have all heard the horror stories about PACs collecting tens of thousands of dollars which were donated by well-meaning citizens with a desire to positively influence a political issue, only to learn later that the PAC was keeping most of the donations for themselves as "consulting fees".
The people at OFCC PAC are 100% volunteers. The money donated to this organization will be used, 100%, to achieve our shared goal of obtaining a concealed carry law in Ohio.
But don't take our word for it. OFCC PAC commits to provide full disclosure, via this website and via direct links to the Ohio Secretary of State Campaign Finance website, on every last penny that comes in, and that goes out. By doing so, we believe that you'll not only be more comfortable in the decision-making and money-management of OFCC PAC, but that you'll be more comfortable with increasing the size of your donations, knowing that they are being utilized to their fullest potential on your behalf.
We also commit to providing you, via public data provided by the Secretary of State, with this same information on other PACs and certain non-profits (both PRO- and ANTI-CCW) seeking to influence this issue. Because as you ask the question of whether or not a group is worth donating to, the answer can, of course, be found by following the money trail.
