WEWS, Channel 5 News in Cleveland is doing a series of stories on politics. Jim Irvine was interviewed for tonights segment on pro-gun Democrats. Irvine said "we talked about Ted Strickland and Marc Dann, who are running for Governor and Attorney General, and local candidates like Capri Cafaro. We also discussed locally endorsed candidates Freddie Moore and Erin Sullivan Lally."

The story will run on tonight's (4/13/06) 6:00 news.

Several Buckeye Firearms volunteers and leadership team were on hand at New Albany Shooting Range Wednesday evening for a political fundraiser for Governor candidate Attorney General Jim Petro and his running mate Senator Joy Padgett. Both candidates were on hand to mingle with the guest.

Mr. Petro gave a rousing speech, explaining his beliefs that self defense is a right and his support for our gun rights. He spoke extensively of concealed carry and HB347, the concealed carry fix it Bill. Mr. Petro also spoke on the subject of the legislation of Castle Doctrine/Stand Your Ground that was recently introduced in the House.
