NRA Endorses Steve Buehrer

DELTA – State Representative Steve Buehrer today received an important endorsement from the National Rifle Association (NRA) in his bid to succeed Lynn Wachtmann in Ohio’s first State Senate District. Wachtmann cannot serve another 4 years due to term limits. He has endorsed Buehrer.

“Steve Buehrer has been a champion for gun owners in the Ohio House,” said Randy Kozuch, Director State and Local Affairs. “We have always been able to count on him to protect our second amendment rights.”

The NRA has over 6,000 active members in the 1st Senate district making this one of the most important endorsements of the campaign so far. They have pledged to put their full range of support services behind Buehrer in the primary election to be held May 2nd.

“This endorsement means a great deal to me,” Buehrer said. “Not just for my campaign but as recognition of the hard work and leadership I have provided to protect law abiding gun owners in Ohio."

Representative Buehrer currently represents the 74th District in the Ohio House of Representatives. He is an attorney and small business owner along with his nearly 16 years of state government experience. Buehrer has also been endorsed by Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, Ohio Right to Life, Buckeye Firearms Association, and Family First among others in the race for State Senate.
