Buckeye Firearms Association Endorses Sarah Palin for Vice President of the United States
Submitted by cbaus on Mon, 09/22/2008 - 23:10.Buckeye Firearms Association is proud to make its first-ever endorsement in a Presidential race, and announces the endorsement of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for Vice President of the United States.
Sarah Palin is more familiar with the Second Amendment issues important to average American gun owners than any Vice Presidential (or Presidential) candidate in decades.
She doesn't wear gun rights on her sleeve, but is a citizen for whom guns are a natural and unremarkable part of life and tradition. She is an example of the ordinary gun owner in America.
Palin understands the simple truth that people commit crimes, while guns, knives and hammers do not, and thus such objects should not be banned or overly restricted.
She understands the Second Amendment protects the individual right to bear arms, and that the primary necessity for private firearms ownership is for personal defense and security.
Palin learned hunting from her parents. She has embraced her heritage and passed it on to the next generation. As an active and avid hunter, Palin understands the cycle of life and the meaning of providing for family. She knows that modern hunters share a love of the outdoors and contribute to the conservation of all wildlife. Hunters, back to Teddy Roosevelt's days, were the first conservationists who recognized the need for wildlife laws and conservation funding. Sarah Palin stands tall in her heritage and the proud tradition of modern hunters and conservationists.
