Two-thirds of State Attorneys General File Amicus Brief Supporting Second Amendment Incorporation

The National Rifle Association is reporting that two-thirds of the nation's attorneys general have filed an amicus brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to grant certiorari in the case of NRA v. Chicago and hold that the Second Amendment applies to state and local governments through the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

This bi-partisan group of 33 attorneys general (which, as Buckeye Firearms Association reported last week, includes Ohio AG Richard Cordray), along with the Attorney General of California in a separate filing, agrees with the NRA's position that the Second Amendment protects a fundamental individual right to keep and bear arms in the home for self-defense, disagreeing with the decision recently issued by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

BOOK REVIEW: The County Sheriff - America’s Last Hope

cold dead finders and america's last hope

By Jim Irvine

For all those who are frustrated with our political system and endless corruption and abuse from a government who are supposed to protect the citizens, Sheriff Richard Mack has written a short book (only 50 pages) that focuses not on the long list of problems, but on the solution.

The County Sheriff: America's Last Hope is a book aimed at concerned citizens and fellow law enforcement officers, especially our sheriffs. Mack explains our political system and how it can be used to correct the problems facing our country, even if we can't get the politicians in Washington to pay attention to the desires of their constituents back in district.
