Toledo concealed handgun license-holder defends own life during robbery attempt

By Chad D. Baus

The Toledo Blade is reporting that another Ohio CHL-holder is alive today because he had the means to protect himself when attacked.

The newspaper, which editorialized against concealed carry both before and after it became law (one editorial board member went so far as theorize on how he would disarm the entire American population), and which prohibits its newspaper carriers from exercising their right to self-defense even after several instances where employees suffered rape and or aggravated robbery, says nothing about whether or not the armed robber had a license to carry the firearm he used in the attempted robbery.

To my gun-owning Democrat friends: How could you vote for either one?

By Chad D. Baus

I've spent the last few weeks examining the choices left on the GOP primary ballot. I thought on this Ohio Primary eve I would take a look the choices my pro-gun Democrat friends are facing.

In Ohio alone, approximately 1/2 million people have hunting and/ or concealed handgun licenses. More importantly, Ohio gun owners made up 27 percent of the total vote in Ohio in the year 2000, the year Al Gore lost his Presidential bid thanks in large part to the pro-gun vote.

With those kinds of numbers coming to the polls, it is easy to understand why Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama are busy offering phony appeals to gun owners leading up to crucial primary contests tomorrow in Ohio and Texas.

But the truth with both candidates is something far more sinister. The truth is that any Ohio Democrat gun owner who votes for Hillary or Barack might as well be voluntarily turning their guns in for destruction.

It really is ok to be liberal and support individual gun rights

By John Salyers

Yes, really. Democrats throughout Ohio and across the country would be well advised to take a closer look at elected officials like Ohio's Governor Ted Strickland and U.S Congressman Zack Space. These gentlemen are both true to the Democrat party and yet are unwavering in their support of protecting our individual right to bear arms. And believe it or not folks, it's working for them.

These guys just plain get it, and all indicators thus far have shown that they sincerely believe the Second Amendment is part of the same Constitution they have sworn to support and defend. A quick search of this website shows several instances where they are clearly "sticking to their guns" on the issue.
