Charlton Heston: The Passing of a Legend

by Linda Walker

America has suffered a great blow with the passing of an American legend and patriot, Charlton Heston. Mr. Heston passed away Saturday at the age of 84 after enduring several years battling Alzheimer's disease. Lydia, his wife of 64 years was beside him, as she had always been.

Charlton Heston is known for his movie portrayals of generals, saints, kings, American presidents, Moses, and other amazing characters. He was also a huge supporter of civil rights, marching with Martin Luther King and JFK. He fought against "political correctness". But his latter years are what Second Amendment supporters will forever enshrine this gentleman for.
