Stand Your Ground Movement, Part III

A Movement That Needs To Coalesce Nationwide.

By John Longenecker

It’s Not About Crime Anymore. It’s about anti-crime policies that don’t work, but for officials and specific industries.

Anti-crime policies drain sovereignty out of the home like gasoline companies drain money out of your budget.

The Stand Your Ground movement began as a pro-household / pro-individual legislation addressing when persons face grave danger, including the criminal and civil penalties imposed. Many of these were recognized as unproductive, as nothing more than social engineering to the gain of those who wanted to make money or political prestige on the tragedy of others. This sort of trading on human tragedy is not only un-American, but can be traced to one party. The political party which proposed that we understand the criminal, to believe that he/she must somehow have a reason for crime, or that criminal acts were nothing more than a mistake, that poverty is good, is the sum of the Democrat party’s portfolio of achievement. It is they who accuse the Conservatives of no compassion, of being uptight, of being greedy, racist, extreme and intolerant, but it is they who wish to silence opposing views in order to enforce these imposing, unnatural controls.

The Stand Your Ground movement is an answer to the lies; it brings choice. The Stand Your Ground movement is the comparison for any citizen to make in determining our way of life in America. The Stand Your Ground movement is a self-defense move using the American values of due process and follow-through. The Stand Your Ground movement is a single voice saying enough!
The Stand Your Ground movement began as a Florida ruling called The Castle Doctrine in regard to personal self-defense in time of grave danger. The Doctrine said that a person’s home is their Castle, and recognized the home as consecrated and properly untouchable. The Castle Doctrine actually recognizes the persons of the household, its real thrust. Naturally, then, the later extension of the Castle Doctrine which recognizes the person outside the boundaries of the home is an affirmation of that value: the persons, the family. Naturally.

It is the Left, of course, who wishes to… shall we say, liberate the household from these bonds, knowing full well that the household, the family, is the secret to our strength and sovereign authority.

The original Florida Castle Doctrine law basically does three things:

One: It establishes, in law, the presumption that a criminal who forcibly enters or intrudes into your home or occupied vehicle is there to cause death or great bodily harm, therefore a person may use any manner of force, including deadly force, against that person.

Two: It removes the duty to retreat if you are attacked in any place you have a right to be. You no longer have to turn your back on a criminal and try to run when attacked. Instead, you may stand your ground and fight back, meeting force with force, including deadly force, if you reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm to yourself or others. [This is an American right repeatedly recognized in Supreme Court gun cases.]

Three: It provides that persons using force authorized by law shall not be prosecuted for using such force.

It also prohibits criminals and their families from suing victims for injuring or killing the criminals who have attacked them. [From Alan Korwin’s Bloomfield Press. Visit www.Gunlaws.com]

In short, it restores rights long frustrated, and empowers professionals to favor more the givers of society over the takers in society.

Understand that the media get it wrong in reporting news of the Castle Doctrine, (perhaps intentionally due to political agenda). Media describe it various ways, such as Shoot First headlines, and, of course, the Vigilante Justice one. Sort of like writing about immigration when the subject is purely illegal entry. Sort of like reporting that most citizens support Immigration, when the fact is that most Americans, including Immigrants, support legal immigration.

The part I like to emphasize is that citizens have always had the authority to use up to deadly force, one of the best kept secrets in the debate. Gee, how did that get lost?

But there is much more to the Stand Your Ground movement than some might associate. It can become a much stronger movement once citizens place their power and follow-through into one aggregate movement for Congress and to their home state legislatures.

Fathers’ Rights is a subject in need of repair back to the values that made for consistency, national pride and, yes, justice. The left absolutely lied when it said how dysfunctional the home is, how mean the patriarchal society is; all nothing more than a betrayal of an underlying hatred of Dad and for taking revenge in a political arena because Dad is beyond reach.

No-fault Divorce is also an expression of hatred. It needs to be reversed.

Zero-tolerance policies, something I mention often, are a trap to answer family demand to do something about bullies and drugs, but contrived merely to stop the debate. Instead of breaking up fights or making decisions about what a child has brought to school, zero-tolerance does less than administrators could do before. Zero-tolerance is a device to eliminate investigation and discussion with the true authorities in the matter, the parents. Its net effect is to silence parents. This needs to be turned around in both schools and workplace.

Eminent domain is one subject most encouraging lately; several state legislatures have taken up the subject and have voted to restrict the powers of authorities in confiscating real property on behalf of those who claim they can do more with it. But that battle’s merely begun; it can gain strength to protect property if it becomes part of the larger movement.

Hi-tech surveillance is one of the newest anti-crime policies, because you allegedly can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys. And officials don’t care anyway, because if they don’t screw your life up, how does anyone know they’re on duty? What if we say No to National ID Cards and RFID Chips (the Flea) and No doesn’t work?

Of course, The Minuteman Project is on the move and should be appreciated as part of the Stand Your Ground Movement. This rising tide will lift all boats as all the issues come to share in the momentum.

We’re tired of being bullied.

The Stand Your Ground Movement is a fabulous opportunity to take back America by hearing from America Herself. A nation of tolerance, a republic of self-rule and generosity, we have been played for fools for our good-heartedness, compassion, cooperation and money. We’ve been scammed in obtaining our consent by way of fraud in the inception.

We have contributed billions to policies which do nothing they promised, because if they did, the day would have come by now when the job was done and revenues directed to newer missions, new horizons of new justice and liberty. We have better uses for our immense revenues – and our hearts – than supporting dozens of anti-crime policies that farm crime for the looting of the country.

Until now, it hasn’t been safe to speak out. Leftists abuse Americans because it’s safe for them to do so, unsafe for some of us who suffer criticism, harassment, defamation and battery with pies in the face. How dignified for the left. It’s now safe for all, once we come to realize that our shared values are not extreme, but mainstream.

When it comes to unwelcome, go-nowhere national and state policies, just turn them all off.

Stand Your Ground. These policies go nowhere because this is not where crime is fought.

It’s time to collect all the go-nowhere, looting policies in officials and put them all into one energetic, righteous national movement to restore power and authority to the home.

The tenets of the Stand Your Ground Movement should be straightforward and uncomplicated, based purely on restoring our national values. The frame of reference is, of course, the interests of the household first.

Does the new policy to replace the old, broken down, bloated policy restore power, authority and sovereignty to the household and the persons of the family? This is our guide.

Is it possible to go overboard? I doubt it. We have a long, long way to go just to get back to the middle.

In the case of violent crime, the household is to be protected over the interests of the criminal; the presumption of intent is a step in the right direction. More needs to be done on removing the idea of automatic arrest of the homeowner in time of self-defense, and other unjust punishments based on erroneous political perceptions about a defending homeowner now written into procedure. That has to stop.

In the cases of school disputes, the parents reign supreme. Principals may no longer hide behind some administrative policy that ties their hands, but must honor the requests of the parents. And for cryin’ out loud, no more credence given to so-called experts when the real weight must be given to the real authority, the parents. Wipe out the idea of zero-tolerance and give latitude to the Principal to honor the instructions of the parents.

In the case of weapons, and the civil right for law-abiding to keep and bear them, the repeal of all gun laws should be part of the Nationwide Stand Your Ground Movement. Too long have our fellow Americans been permitted to believe that Liberty Enthusiasts are somehow isolated, anti-government slobs who haven’t had a bath since their last squirrel. For cryin’ out loud, where do you think we draw for our police officers and other first responders? Gun owners number around 80 million, and they’re adults. They’re also law-abiding. In the great debate over self-defense, you have to eliminate the illegal acts of individual criminals who may not lawfully even have a gun to begin with; address only those who may lawfully have one, and you begin to realize how unjust, how powerless, how political 22,000 gun laws have been since their inception.

It’s time to appreciate that liberty enthusiasts are just like you, willing to sacrifice of themselves, feeling betrayed for doing it, sharing core values such as Home, and wishing to hold officials to their duty, just like you want to.

Values-based judgement in these matters. Proper, adult re-arrangement of priorities.

Because all the so-called anti-crime policies – zero-tolerance, unreasonable weapons laws, hi-tech surveillance and much more — aren’t even about crime anymore.

These policies will never touch the criminal, unless they criminalize lawful behavior, and there’s more and more of that going around.

It’s time for someone to identify all the go-nowhere policies in America, organize them into a Top Ten of the most offensive anti-liberty / anti-sovereignty policies, and place them on one agenda of a Nationwide Stand Our Ground Movement.

Now.

With chapters in every state.

Do I need to tell you that it would be so very good for the country..?

John Longenecker’s book, Transfer of Wealth: The Case For Nationwide Concealed Carry is in its Second Edition and it would make a great gift for the non-gun owner. You can purchase his book at Transfer of Wealth. You can also read other articles by John Longenecker here.
