On November 17, 2011, following the publication of a New York Times' investigation of firearms rights restoration which included a quote from Buckeye Firearms Association Legislative Chair Ken Hanson, BFA Chair Jim Irvine was invited to discuss the article with Times reporter Michael Luo and Adam Winkler, constitutional law professor at UCLA, live on KPCC 89.3 FM in Los Angeles.
