Sidney Schools' armed teacher program draws national attention as another Ohio school district considers same

Approximately one year ago, Sidney, Ohio school district went public with its involvement in a program offered by the Shelby Co. Sheriff's Office to arm teachers in the district.

Since then, Buckeye Firearms Foundation has announced that over 300 teachers have been trained through its F.A.S.T.E.R. (Faculty/Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response) program, and that more than 30 Ohio schools now have gun policies to defend students.

Last week, as news that yet another Ohio school (Logan County's Riverside Local Schools) is considering arming its teachers to better protect its students, Fox News' Fox & Friends interviewed John Scheu, superintendent of Sidney City Schools, about the success of their program.
