2026 General Election results - The fight has only begun

It goes without saying that we're disappointed in the overall results of the 2026 General Election.

Democrats won four out of five statewide offices, including Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Treasure. The exception was Frank LaRose, winning the office of Auditor. And in the U.S. Senate race, anti-gun Sherrod Brown defeated Jon Husted for U.S. Senate.

However, not all the news is bad. In the U.S. House, our endorsees won five out of seven races. Our endorsees for State Senate also won eight out of 12 races. Plus, 49 out of 62 Ohio House endorsees won.

And despite Democrats winning one additional seat on the Ohio Supreme Court, there is still a strong 5-to-2 pro-gun majority.

While Republicans will maintain control of both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly, the next four years may prove difficult under an Amy Acton administration.

We're working hard to pass SB 214, a bill to remove suppressors from the classification of dangerous ordnance, before the end of this session. And we're hoping to move additional legislation while we have the chance.

It's difficult to predict just how bad the next four years will be for our Second Amendment rights. But one thing we know for sure, we're going to need your help now more than ever.
