2nd Amendment supporter promoting Central OH Meet & Greet

Buckeye Firearms Association is pleased to pass on word of a Central Ohio Meet & Greet to be held in Pickerington, OH on Sunday, November 6.

Event organizer Linda Walker originally announced the event to fellow Buckeye Firearms Association volunteers in the Columbus-area, and also on several Internet discussion forums. Walker also asked Gerard Valentino, Buckeye Firearms Association Central Ohio Chair, for assistance in inviting elected officials and/or candidates who plan to be in attendance.

"This started off as a way for a few like-minded people in the Columbus-area to get together and share all they have in common, and to talk about what they could do to further the cause of getting HB347 passed, a subject that we are all so passionate about," said Walker. "I am overwhelmed by the interest, and am excited to help bring together several grassroots volunteers from many different groups with some of the legislators who are consistently some of our most hard-working advocates in the Statehouse."

Linda has received a confirmation from Rep. Jim Aslanides (R-94), who is the primary sponsor of House Bill 347. Bill Peirce, a Libertarian candidate for governor, and several other local and state officials and/ or candidates have indicated their interest as well.

"Two days before an election is a great time for Second Amendment supporters to get one last time to chat with candidates", said Valentino. "I am pleased that several officials and candidates have accepted invitations to attend Linda's event."

The Central Ohio Meet & Greet will be held at Stonecreek Diner in Pickerington on Sunday, Nov. 6 beginning at 4:30 p.m..

Stonecreek Diner is located on St. Rt. 256 (3 traffic lights south of I-70 if you're coming from Columbus, 4 lights south if exiting from the east) in Pickerington. The restaurant is being very gracious in allowing us the use of one of their rooms. All we ask is you arrive hungry and order some food! Stonecreek Diner features great food at very reasonable prices (generally $5-$7). The plan is to mix and mingle starting at 4:30, food orders by 5:00, with speakers to follow.

Linda notes that "all are invited to join us for an informative, fun evening of sharing by a group of like-minded individuals!"

If you plan to attend, please email Linda Walker at [email protected] to tell her how many will be in your party.
