BFA’s Sean Maloney Elected to NRA Board of Directors

I am honored and humbled to have received notice that I have been elected to the NRA Board of Directors for 2016.

When the election results were first announced, I was a few votes short of the top 25 vote-getters to win a three year term (I came in #26). However, I was recently informed that because of an immediate vacancy on the Board, I have been elected to the NRA Board of Directors for a one year term.

Per the NRA Bylaws; “all vacancies in the Board occurring between regular elections for any reason shall be filled by persons who ran and lost on the most recent mail in ballot in rank order of number of votes received; and each such personal shall serve until the adjournment of the next Annual Meeting of Members.”

Thank you once again to everyone who supported me, from signing my petition to voting for me. I take none of you for granted, and given the small amount of votes that I came short, truly every one of your votes counted.

My current term is a one year term, so, once again, my campaign starts immediately. Thank you for your support these past years, and I once again humbly ask for your support.

I promise that I will continue to represent the interests of the over 5 million members of the NRA during this most critical time of the NRA’s existence.

Sean Maloney serves as legal counsel for Buckeye Firearms Association, is a member of the NRA Board of Directors, an NRA-ILA EVC in Ohio, and Chairman of the Butler County Friends of the NRA. His efforts have led to his induction into the NRA-ILA EVC Hall of Fame and he received the 2010 NRA-ILA Jay M. Littlefield Volunteer of the Year Award.
