Burglar arrested after homeowner with concealed handgun license shoots out getaway car's tire

WLWT.com is reporting that a man is in custody after deputies said he picked a concealed handgun licensee's house to burglarize Wednesday.

From the article:

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said Jason Hawk broke into a home in the 7000 block of Glendale-Milford Road just before noon, but was discovered when the homeowner returned.

The homeowner, who has a concealed carry permit, took out his handgun and went around behind the home and confronted Hawk, deputies said.

As Hawk tried to flee, the homeowner fired several shots, one of which flattened the left front tire on Hawk's car, deputies said.

Hawk was arrested by officers a few minutes later. Police said the car had two televisions and four rifles in it.

The article reports the burglar was not injured, and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on $20,000 bond.
