Eddie Eagle and The Wing Team Go Digital

As you might be aware, the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program has had some changes. With a shift toward the digital age, the majority of Eddie Eagle printed materials are no longer available, however, our program materials can now be downloaded on our website, www.EddieEagle.com.

This is where the Eddie Eagle staff needs your help! The Eddie Eagle Program has always relied heavily on its national grassroots network to promote and teach the program in their communities. We need your help in spreading the word to supporters and program users, in your state, that all of our materials are now downloadable online. Teachers, law enforcement, parents, and volunteers can access and print materials whenever they are needed without relying on a shipment from staff at NRA headquarters.

What it is:

We encourage you to check out www.EddieEagle.com. Once on the site, a menu of activities are available on the right side, including our previously offered activity books. This tab will let parents, educators, and law enforcement download and print copies of age specific activity books for their children. Additionally, the site contains a tab in the top left corner marked "GROWN UPS." This will bring users to the generic Eddie Eagle site that has information for parents, as well as, our newsletter and other program information.

How Families and Kids Can Use it at Home:

• Watch the video with their family and have a discussion
• Download the age specific workbooks
• Introduce the Wing Team to their siblings
• Read the storybooks out loud to their parents
• Teach other family members Eddie's songs
• Download coloring pages when friends come to visit
• Compete with friends and family in the Wing Team Challenge

How You Can Promote EddieEagle.com:

• Talk to your local school or public library
• Bring it up with day-cares or after school programs
• Approach your law enforcement agency
• Suggest to your local boy or girl scouts troop
• Talk to the families in your neighborhood
• Share it on social media, like Facebook
• Hand out promotional material at community events

With the help of our great volunteers, like you, and hundreds of schools, law enforcement agencies, and civic organizations, Eddie Eagle's important safety message has reached over 29 million children.
