Firearms Forum airs last radio show

By Jim Irvine

It is with sadness that I report that November 15, 2009 will be the last Firearms Forum show on WHK, AM 1420.

It has been a tremendous experience and I thank all who have listened, called, or sent email about the show. Through the show I have been able to meet many patriots dedicated to protect and restore our Second Amendment right.

I will be joined on the final show by John Benner and Ron Borsch, two of the nations leading experts on multiple victim killings. This is a show that I have wanted to do for many months, and last week's shootings in Ft. Hood and Orlando make this topic extremely relevant. Those outside the Cleveland area can listen online.

Over the past year, we have reached new supporters and educated countless gun owners on important firearm issues. To that end, the show has been a resounding success.

However, we have limited resources. And we are obligated to continually evaluate how we spend our time and money so that we can maximize our effectiveness. We are looking at several new opportunities, including launching an online talk show that could reach more people at far less cost. We will keep you posted.

Until then, I recommend you listen to Armed American Radio, sponsored by the United States Concealed Carry Association.

Host Mark Walters is a friend, so I expect to be a part of his show as time permits. Through syndication, he hopes to bring the show to a station in your home town.

If you are looking for another Ohio-based show, check out Jeff Pedro's pro-gun radio show, "Shootin from the Hip". Beginning December 5, the show will air weekly on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. on Dayton's WHIO (1290 AM and 95.7 FM), and you can also listen live online.

We have heard from many people that they really enjoy listening to the podcasts. Past shows will remain available on our web site.

We thank you for your support of our radio show and look forward to continuing to educate legislators, media, and the general public through Buckeye Firearms Foundation.
