Glock launches new 'V Series' pistols

Glock has officially announced the GLOCK V Series, a streamlined line of pistols the company says will “establish a baseline of products while simplifying our processes.” The announcement clarifies availability and model offerings after a third-party retailer — not affiliated with Glock — prematurely publicized information earlier this week.

According to Glock, V Series pistols will begin appearing on dealer shelves and be made available for media loan in December 2025. Each V Series pistol will be marked with a “V” on both the slide and the frame.

GLOCK V Series at release

Glock confirmed the following commercial models for initial release:

  • G17 V
  • G19 V
  • G19X V
  • G45 V
  • G26 V
  • G20 V MOS
  • G23 V
  • G23 V MOS
  • G21 V MOS
  • G44 V

Glock also identified several distributor-exclusive models that will be part of the V Series program:

  • G19C V
  • G45C V
  • G17C V
  • G19X V MOS TB

The company’s statement emphasized that individuals who spoke prematurely on behalf of a retailer were not authorized to represent Glock. The clarification appears aimed at preventing confusion in the marketplace as dealers and media prepare for the formal rollout:

Yesterday, a retailer NOT affiliated with GLOCK Inc. made premature statements concerning the availability of certain GLOCK pistols. The individuals making these representations are not authorized to speak for GLOCK.

As part of GLOCK’s commitment to future innovations, we are making necessary updates to our product line to align with upcoming offerings. Our dedication continues to be with maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability, and accessibility that you expect from GLOCK.

The GLOCK V Series is here to establish a baseline of products while simplifying our processes.

Why the V Series matters

Glock described the V Series as part of its “commitment to future innovations” and framed the lineup as an effort to simplify internal processes while maintaining the quality and reliability the brand is known for. For shooters and armories, the launch represents a clear, identifiable family of pistols — each bearing the V marking — intended to standardize production and distribution as new models are introduced.

For competitors and consumers alike, product-line consolidations of this sort can mean clearer inventory, more predictable media loans and evaluations, and a recognizable naming convention for new offerings. For existing GLOCK owners, the V mark will provide an immediate cue that a pistol belongs to Glock’s new baseline lineup.

What we still don’t know (and what to watch for)

Glock’s announcement sets the release window and model list but leaves several buyer-interest details unspecified. Still unknown is MSRP, distributor timelines beyond the December media and shelf availability, accessory compatibility (holsters, optics cuts beyond the MOS models listed), and whether any internal component or materials changes accompany the V designation. Also unknown is what this means for the previous generations' availability.

AmmoLand will be watching for:

  • full spec sheets from Glock for each V model
  • pricing and dealer allocation details
  • any announced changes to warranty, parts commonality, or modularity tied to the V Series
  • when distributor-exclusive models will reach the secondary market or be offered through authorized channels

Glock’s V Series rollout looks to be a deliberate step toward a simplified product offering and clearer identification of the company’s next generation of pistols. With initial availability set for December 2025 and a mix of full commercial and distributor-exclusive models announced, shooters should expect to see V Series pistols in the wild before year’s end.
