Headline: Dayton store owner shoots, kills suspected robber
Dayton news media are reporting on an armed robbery case in which a store owner successfully defended himself from two armed assailants.
From WHIO (Dayton CBS):
The owner of Step N Style, a clothing store in Dayton, fatally shot a person following an attempted robbery this morning. Police said the incident appears to be self-defense.
Shortly after 11 a.m., two people walked into the store at 3217 W. Siebenthaler Ave. and displayed a handgun.
The owner of the business shot one of them, killing that person. The second assailant fled on foot.
According to the article, police are still looking for the second suspect, who was wearing denim jeans and a black sweatshirt.
Police also noted that a customer was shopping at the time the armed robbers entered the store.
In separate coverage by WRGT, Dayton's Fox affiliate, reporters told viewers about the legal rights business owners have when violently attacked, and interviewed a store owner who has had an experience similar to this latest incident at Step N Style.
