Buckeye Firearms Foundation donates $1000 to legal defense for Ohio licensee threatened with execution by police officer
Buckeye Firearms Foundation is making a donation of $1000 to the legal defense fund of Canton, Ohio concealed handgun licensee William Bartlett, who was subjected to horrific civil rights violations by a police officer.
Watch the video and see the officer, Daniel Harless, abuse and threaten the licensee during a traffic stop last month. The abuse included repeated threats to EXECUTE the licensee.
Below is an alternate version, obtained by The Canton Repository. You can hear audio from a microphone inside the police car, providing additional information.
Supporting Mr. Barlett's legal defense fits quite well with the mission of our educational foundation, and a perfect use of the resources of generous donors who have supported Buckeye Firearms Foundation in the past.
We believe that the charges against Mr. Barlett should be dropped immediately. Whether or not that happens, Ohioans for Concealed Carry has already suggested that a civil suit may follow. If it comes to that, we stand by ready to help if more is requested and needed to achieve justice.
Buckeye Firearms Foundation is a tax exempt 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to legal action and education.
