Paper: Do armed civilians stop active shooters more effectively than uniformed police?

Since 2000, the FBI has tracked active shooting cases, an event where an individual actively attempts to kill people in a public place, excluding shootings tied to robberies or gang violence. In this first-of-its kind study, our findings show that armed citizens are significantly more effective than uniformed police at stopping potential mass shootings.

$325,000 in marksmanship scholarships available for high school seniors

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is proud to provide scholarships for deserving high school seniors who excel in marksmanship! CMP offers $1,000, $3,000 and $5,000 one-year scholarship assistance to qualified junior marksmen in order to encourage and reward their outstanding efforts. In 2025, over $325,000 will be awarded.
