Is concealed permitted in Ohio's state parks?
Concealed carry by a licensed CHL holder is allowed in the outdoor areas of all state parks, wildlife areas, and natural areas and preserves. However, under current law, buildings where business is conducted will be posted, such as offices, marinas, camp stores, visitor centers, and lodges. Park restrooms, shelters, beach houses, and laundry areas should not be posted. State lodges generally allow firearms as long as they are unloaded and cased. This accommodates hunters especially during deer season. Remember that Wildlife Officers, DNAP Officers, and Park Officers are all law enforcement officers. If there is an official stop and you are carrying, you have an obligation to inform the officer.
