Open borders, empty jails, and gun confiscation: That is their plan

“In the interest of public safety, we’re confiscating your guns. And no, you won’t be getting them back.” — Ray Nagin, Democrat mayor of New Orleans in August of 2005, during Hurricane Katrina.

“Hell Yes, We’re going to take your AR-15s, your AK-47s” — Beto O’Rourke, Democrat presidential candidate, 2019.

“I support a mandatory ‘buy-back’ (forced confiscation) program” — Kamala Harris, Democrat presidential nominee, 2023.

The foregoing politicians, while sleazy, occasionally give an honest voice to their party’s draconian, forceful gun-confiscation agenda (at least episodically) in inadvertent moments of honesty. I think we should take them at their word!

Violent, mentally ill, drug-addicted vagrants (including many illegal immigrants) have been, by these same Democrats, dubiously re-christened “the homeless” and subsequently released (and perpetually re-released, despite multiple felony arrests) to colonize our formerly beautiful public places, that used to be enjoyed by the rest of us, but are now filthy, crime-invested, disease-ridden open-sewers.

“Homeless” is a dishonest title, deliberately designed to make these dangerous outlaws appear “benign.”

When wolves are “reintroduced” to an area by naive “wildlife biologists,” prey species predictably suffer, and that includes much domestic livestock.

Likewise, when violent criminal actors (VCAs) and emotionally disturbed people (EDPs) are “reintroduced” into communities by liberal “criminal-justice reformers,” to no one’s surprise, law-abiding citizens suffer.

Like wolves that casually enter fenced-in pastures to kill sheep, VCAs and EDPs go into “nice areas” and murder citizens. Apex predators (human and animal) have scant regard for fences, nor for arbitrary political boundaries, nor for property lines, nor for other symbolic barriers.

In December of last year, a “transient man” entered a tanning salon in Loveland, Colorado, and precipitously attacked several people there with a claw hammer. Two of his victims were very seriously injured.

This “homeless man” was well-known to local police and had been arrested previously, multiple times. Local police and the media then assured us that this vicious attack was “random.”

“Random” is another less-than-honest term, frequently used by less-than-honest politicians, to convince the rest of us that we have nothing to worry about.

If I were a cartoonist, I would illustrate this cynical deceit by drawing two sheep talking with each other, as they watched a wolf enthusiastically devouring a recently killed ewe.

“Lucky for us, that was just a ‘random attack,’ eh?” says one sheep to the other.

“Yup, nothing to worry about now,” the other replies.

“Random violence” should cause thinking citizens to exhibit genuine concern, not to just relax and say to themselves, “Wow, sure glad that wasn’t me!”

We have enormous numbers of unvetted illegal aliens within our borders. Criminal-justice “reforms” have virtually emptied jails and prisons. Mental-health “reforms” have put an end to mental hospitals and asylums.

Staggering numbers of these dangerous and unstable “homeless” are now out, unsupervised, and in our communities, and the situation will not improve anytime soon.

Routinely carrying a sidearm, as emergency personal safety equipment, requires sacrifices in terms of comfort, clothing, and lifestyle, no doubt.

Yet thanks to “liberal reformers,” we all have plenty of opportunities to be selected to be “random victims,” as we see!

Be advised, the wise and prudent are never loved by the shallow, ignorant, and stupid.

“The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise, they will win and decent people will loose.” — James Earl Jones
