There are more stories pertaining to our gun rights in Ohio then we can possibly draw attention to with individual daily commentary. But they are all worthy of mention.

What follows is our review of headlines from around the state though a pro-gun rights lens.

From a robbery in a gun free zone to a victim fighting back against home invaders, these articles should be a part of your required reading!

What follows is several days of headlines accompanied by short, concise pro-gun analysis.

6/9/08: West Price Hill, Ohio: UDF Robbed In West Price Hill

From the article:

A man armed with a pistol and wearing a red bandana over his face walked into the store, took money from two cash registers and ran out, according to emergency communication reports state.

This is just another example of a violent crime committed with a firearm in a gun free zone.

6/8/08: Cleveland, Ohio: Police: Man Shot, Killed During Argument

From the article:

Police said the victim, who has not been identified, was walking down the street with another man . The two men got into an argument and one of them who is believed to be in his late teens, shot the other man.

Even more violence rocks the city that has declared war on legal gun owners instead of going after illegal guns and criminals.

6/6/08: Toledo, Ohio: Groups Offer Self-Defense Classes Designed For Seniors

From the article:

Justin Moor, vice president of communications and operations at the Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio, said her agency has several ways to help seniors stay safe, including a partnership with the police department, as well as a safety workshop every quarter. Moor said the agency also lists safety tips on its fliers and newsletters.

It appears that this in-service neglected to inform seniors of the benefits of carrying a firearm for self-defense, and how it is a great equalizer for seniors.

6/6/08: Cleveland, Ohio: Man Carjacked At Gunpoint In Cleveland

The victim said five men with a gun took the car in the 2300 block of East 61st Street.

More violence rocks the city that has declared war on legal gun owners!

6/4/08: Barberton, Ohio: Police Say Woman Threatened To Kill Bystanders With Rifle

From the article:

Police said a 61-year-old woman drove around town waving a loaded firearm at people, threatening to shoot and kill innocent bystanders.

Always be prepared to defend yourself. Thankfully, this incident was ended without a shot being fired and no one being injured.

5/27/08: Akron, Ohio: Akron Robbery Suspect Shot In Chest

From the article:

The 20-year-old resident told police he shot one of two men with a rifle Monday night as they were entering his home in the 700 block of Fultz Street in West Akron after kicking in the front door.

Thanks to a firearm, another home owner is alive and was able to defend himself from home invaders.
