REMINDER: Register to vote!

There is only one week left to make sure you and your friends and family are registered to vote. If you have moved or still need to register to vote for any reason, October 10 is the last day to register to vote in the November 7 general elections.

As we saw again in this year’s primary election, every vote matters. Brant Luther defeated Randy Pope 4,016-4,003 in the 61st Ohio House District Republican primary.

All our endorsed candidates need your support.

The general election this year will be held on November 7th.

In order to vote, you MUST be registered to vote on or before October 10 (30 days before the election).

In the State of Ohio, a person can register to vote at any of the following places:

  • Any County Board of Elections Office
  • Secretary of State’s Office
  • Any Public High School or Vocational School
  • Any Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Office
  • At any offices of designated agencies that provides disability programs or public assistance
  • Any public library
  • Any County Treasurers’ Office
  • By mail

The Secretary of State’s web site (http://www.sos.state.oh.us/) is a great resource, and should answer all of your voting related questions. On the web site, a person can make an online request to have a voter registration form sent to them.

If you are unable to vote on November 7, you may be eligible for an Absentee ballot. For more information on Absentee Voting please refer to the Absentee Voting section of the Voting Information Guide found on the Secretary of State’s web site (http://www.sos.state.oh.us/).

The website states that "A qualified Ohio voter does not have to state a reason to vote by an absentee ballot, although the ballot must be applied for in writing. If you are properly registered to vote, you must submit your written request to the board of elections of the county in which your voting residence is located."

A convenient Absent Voter's Ballot application can be downloaded here.

If you cannot make it to the polls on November 7, please use this new option to get your vote in. If you know people that are not planning to vote, please encourage them to do so. If they cannot make it to the polls make them aware of the new absentee procedure and encourage them to vote.

It is vital that we participate in the election process and get pro-gun politicians elected. We are winning the battle but we must not let our guard down.

Do your part to help protect our Second Amendment rights and vote for pro-gun candidates. If you have not registered to vote, do it today, and make sure your friends and family do too!
