Two Senate races where pro-gun voters can make a difference!

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting on a number of Ohio Senate races in which Democrat-released poll numbers suggest incumbent Republicans are facing tough re-election contests. In one case, this is good news for gun owners, and in the other, an incumbent loss would be a set-back. In both races, the need for pro-gun volunteers is clear.

Democrats said polls showing a dead heat between candidates such as Emily Kreider, who is new to the ballot, and Republican Sen. David Goodman, who has run several times for legislative and countywide seats, shows people are looking for new leadership.

...Goodman said he always has started out trailing in his legislative races. He said he’s looking forward to informing voters of his "strong record."

..."As the Democrats try to show their candidates potentially have the ability to bring about change, I suspect that will be very difficult to do," [Republican Senate President Bill] Harris said.

"Change" is exactly what pro-gun voters would like to see in the 3rd Senate District, where Sen. David Goodman has a "strong record" of voting against the Constitutional right to bear arms for self-defense. Buckeye Firearms Association has endorsed Democrat Emily Kreider in this contest.

Meanwhile, father north, in the closely watched 13th District, which Democrats see as their best chance for a pickup, caucus officials told the Dispatch that challenger Sue Morano has a double-digit lead over Republican Martha Wise for the seat vacated by GOP Sen. Jeffry Armbruster. Neither Wise nor Morano earned the Buckeye Firearms Association endorsement in the 13th district.

Finally, the Dispatch is reporting on a poll in the 27th District in Summit County which has Democratic newcomer Judy Hanna in a dead heat against Buckeye Firearms Association-endorsee Sen. Kevin Coughlin.
