Voter guide updated with NRA Congressional endorsements
Many people have written to ask about endorsements for U.S. Congress. Our Custom Voter Guide now returns information on all Ohio Congressional candidates.
Following the many votes and procedural actions in Washington D.C. has become extremely time consuming. With limited resources, we didn't feel that we could do the job with the expertise and knowledge that we feel is necessary to make grades and endorsements for the majority of Congressional races. Rather than do a poor job, we refocused our efforts toward other state and local races.
The NRA has multiple people on Capitol Hill on a full-time basis. When something happens related to the Second Amendment, they know about it. Thus we have deferred to the NRA for the majority of Congressional races.
The NRA-PVF (NRA-Political Victory Fund) has issued endorsements for U.S. Congress (Ohio) and those endorsements are available here. (For all other states, go here and click on your state for NRA endorsements.)
We have updated our Custom Voter Guide to include NRA endorsed U.S. Congress candidates. You will now get our Ohio House, Ohio Senate, Ohio Supreme Court, U.S. Senate, any local races we have information on and the NRA Congressional endorsements. You can print out this convenient voter guide to take to the polls or help you fill out your absentee ballot.
It is well known that NRA and Buckeye Firearms Association endorsements are important to candidates. Many times they are critical to winning an election. The importance of our endorsements helps give us power to change the laws, but that power only comes when our endorsed candidates win.
We ask you to support all our endorsed candidates. Vote for them. Donate time and/or money to them. Tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers about them. Spread the word to other gun owners and freedom loving Americans about the good candidates we have endorsed.
Jim Irvine is the Buckeye Firearms Association Chairman, and winner of the NRA-ILA's 2011 "Jay M. Littlefield Volunteer of the Year Award." and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms' 2012 Gun Rights Defender of the Year.
