Youngstown Mayor McKelvey: John Kerry Can’t Camouflage His Record

October 21, 2004

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Democrat Youngstown Mayor George McKelvey today issued the following statement regarding John Kerry's hunt earlier this morning in Youngstown, Ohio:

“The new camouflage jacket that supposed ‘avid’ hunter John Kerry wore today can’t hide him from a voting record that has earned him the distinction of being named the most liberal member of the United States Senate.

“John Kerry can’t apply camouflage to his record, and it’s a record that is out of touch with all the mainstream values and priorities of the people of Ohio.

“As a Democrat who supports President Bush, I’m confident that the man I will be voting for in November doesn’t have to get dressed up and try and fake a set of values or a connection to Ohio voters.”
