Morning Journal anti-CCW Editorial: UPDATE

Last week, we pointed out a horribly uninformed, anti-CCW editorial printed in Cleveland's Morning Journal.

Since the Morning Journal website invites opinion via a comments section at the bottom of its website, we encouraged interested readers to submit their own thoughts.

After nearly a week, not one post has been allowed to appear on the Morning Journal website in response to this story, despite a message on the website that submitted comments would be posted "in a few minutes". An OFCC PAC supporter let us know he also emailed the webmaster and news room, and received no response.

When an OFCC PAC volunteer called to the Morning Journal today, they provided an explanation that comments are reviewed, not for opinion, but simply for objectionable language. So why aren't haven't any comments been posted on this story? The Journal said they're a bit behind on approving comments...

We hope that's true. Judging by their editorial, this newspaper seems quite interested in preventing exercise of the Second Amendment: "The ultraconservative zealots in the legislature can't be bothered with figuring out how to adequately fund public education, but they were breaking their necks trying to put a gun in the shoulder holster of every paranoid on your block." We hope they're not busy preventing your exercise of the First Amendment as well.

If you have already submitted comments in the past, we'd like to know about it. Please email us at [email protected].
