There are more stories pertaining to our gun rights in Ohio then we can possibly draw attention to with individual daily commentary. But they are all worthy of mention.

What follows is our review of headlines from around the state though a pro-gun rights lens.

From missing hunters to a robbery at a restaurant, these articles should be a part of your required reading!

What follows is several days of headlines accompanied by short, concise pro-gun analysis.

We pray for the safety of the missing hunters and that they will be found very soon.

10/7/08: Akron, Ohio: Armed Men Force Students To Ground During Home Invasion

Akron police are looking for two armed men they said broke into a home and robbed university students over the weekend.

It seems like home invasions are happening more often. Always be prepared to defend yourself! At this time, it is not known if the house was on campus and thus a gun free zone.

From the article:

The victim reported that two men armed with a handgun and a shotgun entered an unlocked front door and attempted to rob the homeowner and his visitor.

Police said the victims fought back and managed to take the guns from the robbers.

I always love reading stories like this one where the victim fights back and wins. Refuse to be a victim and fight back!

From the article:

The pink camouflage bow weighs 3.4 pounds and is designed to accommodate female hunters and archers. It retails for $590.

I might have to get one of those for my wife. I would love to get her a bow and some of the money goes to a great cause.

10/2/08: Garfield Heights, Ohio: Classes Start 2 Hours Late After Gun Found At School

From the article:

Classes are starting two hours late Thursday after a gun was found at Garfield Heights High School on Wednesday.

From the article:

A restaurant employee was shot during a robbery early Tuesday morning. Parma police said two men robbed the Steak 'n Shake on Ridge Road at about 12:35 a.m.

Violent crime can happen anywhere and at anytime - even if you are just grabbing a late night snack at a restaurant. Always be prepared to defend yourself!
