Violent crime skyrocketing under Biden, according to his favorite data source

“Crime is either up or it’s down, but Joe (Biden) wants to have it both ways, depending upon who he’s talking to,” said nationally syndicated talk radio host, Mark Walters, who first spotted the trend. “And it was only a matter of time before the rest of that GVA data came back to bite him.”

Chicago editorial board: 'Worryingly,' law-abiding gun owners defend themselves

Earlier this month, Chicagoans witnessed a weekend that saw at least 71 people shot. Citizens there are considering arming themselves, and that is too much for the Tribune's editorial board, which went out and did the most editorial board thing possible and decried such an idea.

NRA files amicus brief with Ninth Circuit over California billy club ban

Any prohibition on bearable arms — whether firearms, billy clubs, or something else — must be supported by “history and tradition,” as the Supreme Court held in NYSRPA v. Bruen. NRA’s brief argues that California’s ban on billy clubs is unsupported by history and tradition and is therefore unconstitutional.

Buckeye Firearms Association applauds U.S. Supreme Court ruling on bump stocks

In a 6-3 ruling on Friday, June 14, 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a ban on so-called "bump stocks," finding that the Justice Department exceeded its authority by reclassifying the device as a "machine gun." "We're pleased with this ruling," said Dean Rieck, Executive Director of Buckeye Firearms Association. "For years, this device had been considered legal. Then the Justice Department...

Is Biden threatening war on U.S. citizens during repeated gun control trope?

President Joe Biden spoke to Everytown for Gun Safety’s “Gun Sense University” in Washington in a “rinse, lather, repeat,” performance of nearly every other gun control speech he has delivered since he announced his candidacy for the White House. This time, he accentuated his threat to wage war on law-abiding gun owners who cherish their Second Amendment rights.

Pew data reveals what gun control supporters expect from a Biden reelection

Pew Research Service released a Cultural Issues and the 2024 Election report that shows there’s a stark difference in the way those who support more gun control and those who support gun rights see the issue of lawful gun ownership in America and what it means for the 2024 election. Pew Research Service surveyed 8,709 adults, including 1,166 registered voters, in April on the political values of...

Will anti-gun groups pressure Biden to again view veterans as 'mental defectives'?

In March, we reported on an appropriations rider that corrected a longstanding and shameful practice by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) of reporting beneficiaries to NICS as “mental defectives” prohibited from having guns, merely because they had been determined to need financial oversight. Now a new military appropriations bill is making its way toward Joe Biden’s desk, and this time he...

In NYT fashion, Old Gray Lady designs interactive tool to help readers determine need for self-defense gun

Leave it to those reporters at The New York Times to be ever-thinking about ways to keep their readers informed and involved. The Old Gray Lady published an online, interactive tool to demonstrate to readers how important self-defense is, especially in the home.

South Carolinian faced 115 years in prison until ATF realized it had the wrong man

Back in December 2023, Bryan Wilson of West Columbia, South Carolina, was handcuffed and arrested by ATF. Just one problem: They had the wrong man. In May, Wilson filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit against the two West Columbia police officers who falsely alleged he had sold them guns and drugs while they were working as task force officers for the ATF.

Doctors cite fake mass-shooting data to justify questioning patients about guns

Fake mass-shooting data has infected the medical community for a long time, and the infection is spreading. The latest fake news, which was published by Advances in Pediatrics, was titled: “A Review of Community-Based Gun Violence Prevention Programs and the Physician’s Role.”

MEMORIAL DAY 2024: In 1788, Ohio law required ALL men aged 16-50 to bear arms

On July 25, 1788, the first Ohio law to establish and regulate a militia was published in Marietta. It mandated all men between 16 and 50 perform military duty. They were required to arm themselves with a musket and bayonet, a cartridge box, powder horn, one pound of powder and four pounds of lead.

Narrative: Anti-gunners seek safety; pro-gunners care only about rights. Wrong!

Far too often when a media outlet reports on "gun violence," the undertone in the article almost always favors the viewpoint of gun grabbers, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Objective journalists should be more attuned to unbiased facts and less focused on an ideological narrative.

Anti-gun Democrats (again) unable to hide contempt for ordinary Americans

It has become a tradition in recent elections for anti-gun Democrats to condescendingly refer to opposition voters as too stupid and bigoted to act in their own best interests. The latest example of this came from none other than former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), whose Bay Area district covers arguably the most anti-gun jurisdiction in the country.

ATF private gun sales FFL rule defeated in Texas district court

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) suffered another defeat in a federal Texas district court. This time, U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the ATF. This ruling prevented the bureau from enforcing its new rule on who needs a federal firearms license (FFL) to sell a gun.

Senate joint resolution would block ATF 'engaged in the business' rule

NSSF fully supports the Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution of Disapproval of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) “Engaged in the Business” Final Rule. The CRA was introduced and led by U.S. Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and was co-sponsored by 43 additional senators.

The state of crime: A steep decline or another Bidenesque wild story?

In his State of the Union address this year, President Joe Biden proclaimed that “Americans deserve the freedom to be safe, and America is safer today than when I took office,” boasting that “[l]ast year, the murder rate saw the sharpest decrease in history, and violent crime fell to one of the lowest levels in more than 50 years.” What are voters to make of this?
