    Cleveland police are searcing for a man believed to be involved in a shooting at a Cleveland recreation center Saturday night.

Another shooting shatters the "illusion of safety" created by gun free zones, such as a city recreation center.

1/17/08: Cleveland, Ohio: 16-Year-Old South High Student Threatens Others With Gun At School

    Cleveland police arrested a ninth-grade South High School student who brought a gun to school Wednesday and threatened other students with it.

The ban on firearms on school grounds only disarm the law abiding.

1/16/08: Kokomo, Indiana: Robbery Suspect Shoots Self In Genitals

From the article:

    Police said a Kokomo man accidentally shot himself in the genitals while robbing a convenience store early Tuesday.

Ha ha!

1/14/08: Conneaut, Ohio: Threatening Graffiti Forces Schools To Close

From the article:

    Conneaut City Schools were closed Monday after police said graffiti was found on a wall at the high school. Someone spray-painted "Students will die" on the outside of the school.

Schools will continue to be a vulnerable target until we allow tachers, faculty, and adult students to legally carry a firearm at school.

1/12/08: Charlotte, North Carolina: Pizza Man Shoots Robbery Suspect

    A pizza delivery man fought back after an attempted robbery late Tuesday night in east Charlotte.

Thanks to a firearm, this pizza delivery driver thankfully survived.

1/8/08: Newark, Ohio: Assaults On 2 Women On Bike Path Similar

From the article:

    Newark police are trying to determine whether the same person assaulted two women who were walking alone on a local bike path recently.

Women greatly benefit from carrying a firearm for self-defense, because it is a great equalizer.

1/7/08: Akron, Ohio: Akron Teen Accused Of Attacking Pizza Man

From the article:

    Akron police say 17-year-old Kenny L. Thomas used a knife to rob a Mama Rosa's Pizza deliveryman about 11 Saturday night.

Yet another example of how dangerous pizza delivery can be. When will the various pizza shops finally allow their drivers to carry firearms for self-defense?
