Gun banners' "Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence" fails to provide education on crime avoidance or gun safety

by Gerard Valentino

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is still trying to convince people the Second Amendment has no value in today's America. To that end, they are using a group called the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence as a cover to market anti-gun myths.

Oddly enough, the education spoken about by the CSGV does not help teach people, or specifically children, how to avoid becoming the victim of gun violence, or gun accidents.

The truth is the anti-gun leaders have always refused to support teaching gun safety education in schools because dead children are a key part of the emotional blackmail they use to push their agenda. That might sound harsh, but it is the only explanation for opposing a plan that has an excellent chance of working.

In the end, however, the anti-gun leader's claim that they will support any program "that only saves one life," is a lie, since they only support programs that infringe on the right to bear arms. Otherwise, they would jump on board with plans to educate children on gun safety.

Pro-gun groups have offered to work with anti-gun leaders to find a school gun safety program agreeable to both sides - an offer that remains on the table, but will never be accepted.

By refusing to meet the pro-gun movement half-way on the education issue, the anti-gun zealots are showing their true colors.

Only the complete destruction of the right to bear arms is acceptable, and until that happens they will exploit every dead child in the pursuit of their misguided goals.

Regardless of the anti-gun duplicity, pro-gun groups will keep their offer to create a gun safety program on the table with the hope that one day, it will save at least one life.
