Ohio Wildlife Council approves spring 2024 turkey hunting seasons

The Ohio Wildlife Council on Oct. 4 approved wild turkey hunting dates for spring 2024, according to an Oct. 5 news release from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.

Hunting dates are as follows:

  • Statewide youth wild turkey season is April 13 and 14.
  • South zone hunting season is April 20-May 19 (all counties except the northeast zone).
  • Northeast zone hunting season is April 27-May 26 (Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Trumbull).

The statewide limit is one bearded turkey during the 2024 spring season, according to the release. Find additional information in the 2023-24 Hunting and Trapping Regulations.
