Pro-Gun Punditry: Wednesday's Buckeye State Roundabout

By Chris Chumita

There are more stories pertaining to our gun rights in Ohio then we can possibly draw attention to with individual daily commentary. But they are all worthy of mention.

What follows is our review of headlines from around the state though a pro-gun rights lens.

From a stabbing to a new movie by the JPFO, these articles should be a part of your required reading!

What follows is several days of headlines accompanied by short, concise pro-gun analysis.

6/1/09: Brecksville, Ohio: 1 Killed, 3 Injured In Brecksville Stabbing

From the article:

Police said they responded to the scene to find two males suffering from stab wounds outside the apartment and two additional males inside with stab wounds.

Always be prepared to protect yourself and your home. This incident may have turned out differently if the victims were armed.

5/31/09: Cleveland, Ohio: Man Shot, Killed In Crosswalk Identified

From the article:

Cleveland police are investigating the death of a man found dead in a crosswalk early Sunday morning.

More senseless violence rocks the city that has declared war on the law-abiding gun owners instead of the real criminals.

5/30/09: Cleveland, Ohio: Marchers Protest Cleveland Gun Laws

From the article:

Nine men marched from Cleveland Browns Stadium to the Justice Center this morning with handguns exposed in holsters as a protest over a Cleveland law that prohibits people from openly carrying handguns.

Organized armed walks are a great way to bring attention to our cause.

5/28/09: Akron, Ohio: Man Robs Gas Station With Ax

From the article:

A man robbed a local gas station with an ax. The Summit County Sheriff's Office said Sheetz Gas Station on West Waterloo Road was robbed at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

The man threatened to kill employees if they did not cooperate, deputies said. He got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

The lack of a gun will not prevent a criminal from commiting a violent crime. An ax will easily kill or seriously injure you. Always be prepared to defend yourself.

5/28/09: Franklin, Ohio: Man In Custody For Bike Trail Robbery

From the article:

Police said Seth Prater, 23, pulled out a knife and demanded cash from someone walking on the bike trail on the Warren-Montgomery County line.

Always be prepared to defend yourself, even while walking on a bike path. Thankfully, the thug was arrested before he hurt someone.

5/24/09: State Wide: Ohio's Spring Turkey Harvest Tops 18,500

From the article:

Hunters checked 18,936 wild turkeys during Ohio's four-week, statewide spring turkey-hunting season that ended May 17, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

The preliminary total represents a 2 percent increase over last year's preliminary harvest number of 18,556.

It looks like this was a great turkey-hunting season.

2009: National: The JPFO Releases Another Free Video!

From the article:

"No Guns for Negroes " exposes the racist history of American gun control laws. Every person who supports gun control laws must be shown this film or gun ownership will cease to exist in America.

Do not miss this video! It is another hardworking video from the Jews For The Preservation Of Firearms Ownership (JPFO)!
