2/1/09: Elyria, Ohio: Police: 8-Year-Old Girl Shot In Head By 10-Year-Old Brother

Police said the brother took the gun from a relative's home on Saturday.

Accidents like this can be avoided by following the basic gun safety rules.

1/31/09: Cleveland, Ohio: Man Shot, Killed While Saving Pregnant Wife

From the article:

A family is grieving after a couple's walk to a bus stop Friday night ended in heartbreak.

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed while trying to protect his pregnant wife during a robbery.

John Bozich is a true hero. He died defending his wife and unborn child. Unfortunately this incident proved the need to carry a firearm for protection whenever you leave your home.

1/31/09: Solon, Ohio: 2 Men, Tied-Up Customer Accused Of Robbing Gamestop

Police said two people walked into a Solon video game store, tied up two workers and a customer and robbed it Saturday night.

Violent crime can happen anywhere, even in "safe" communities like Solon. Always be prepared to defend yourself.

1/26/09: Cleveland, Ohio: Police: Masked Gunman Found Dead After Home Invasion

Cleveland police are investigating what appears to be a deadly home invasion Monday morning on the city's east side.

The victims of the home invasion are alive thanks to a firearm.

1/24/09: Cleveland, Ohio: 2 Men Caught On Camera Robbing Woman In Front Of Home

From the article:

When the woman got out of her car, two men pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse. Two people took off running.

Yet another violent incident in the city of Cleveland. Hopefully one day the city will put more effort into stopping violent crime instead of targeting law-abiding gun owners.

1/22/09: Springfield, Ohio: Police: Homeowner Shoots Burglar In Garage

1/19/09: Columbus, Ohio: Woman Attacked During Break-In

Police said a woman was attacked when several men with guns broke into her apartment early Monday.

It seems that home invasions are becoming more and more common. That is why the recent passage of the Castle Doctrine was so important.

1/18/09: Columbus, Ohio: Woman Shot To Death Talking To 911

From the article:

A woman was shot to death while she called 911 for help from the entrance of her north side apartment Sunday afternoon.

The gun grabbers want you to only rely on the police to protect you. As this incident shows, the police cannot protect you. You must be able to protect yourself, and the best way to do that is with a firearm.
