Big changes at the OGCA for 2007

By Tim Inwood

The Ohio Gun Collectors Association is celebrating
70 great years in 2007. As a part of this they have
decided to make a big change for the rest of the year
for the guests of OGCA members. For the past 70 years
guests could not buy or sell firearms at an OGCA show.
That all changes starting in March. It is however a
limited time opportunity.

As a guest you can now bring in guns to sell and you
can also purchase guns. Any firearm you bring in must
of course be safety strapped. This new policy will run
until January 2008.

The other major change is that guests are now limited
to two visits ever to the OGCA as a guest. If they are
interested in joining the OGCA they must become a
member at one of the two shows they attend as a guest.
You must also remember the business office closes at
2pm Sunday and applications for membership will not be
accepted after that time nor can they be mailed in.
One of the guest membership sponsors must also go with
the applicant to the business office when they join.

If you know a member I strongly suggest you try to
get a guest pass as this really is a great show. You
will see unique and historically important firearms.
As I am fond of saying "It is like going to a museum
where everything is for sale." The next show will be
March 24 & 25 at the Robert's Centre 123 Gano Road in
Wilmington Ohio. This is very close to the
intersection of I-71 and State Route 68.

Keep in mind this is a show that is closed to the
public and that you must be a member or have a guest
pass to attend the show. If you can make the show drop
by Row K table 13 and say hello, I am always glad to
meet our BFA members.
