Dayton-area open carry 'Defense' Walk earns ''thumbs up'' from locals

Drivers honked car horns and waved, or gave a thumbs-up sign, to Walkers in Xenia yesterday.

Here is a quick summary from Walk organizer Larry Moore:

WKEF said about 100 people walked in downtown Xenia supporting concealed carry and vividly demonstrating the clear options of open carry on the street versus the many advantages of concealed carry. Media coverage included all the local television stations, Dayton Daily News, and local press. WHIO Channel 7 (CBS), WDTN Channel 2 (ABC) and WRGT Fox 45/WKEF (NBC) had TV cameras on site at assembly point. Channel 2 followed the walk along the route. All aired reports on the evening news. I have also been told Channel 7 had it on the Monday morning news.
