Wilmington 'Defense' Walkers unfazed by cold

The following was submitted by Tim Inwood, organizer of the Wilmington 'Defense' Walk.

The Wilmington 'Defense' Walk went off without a problem, other than the lousy weather - drizzle and 48 degrees.

We had several calls this morning asking if we were going to reschedule due to the weather, and we we afraid this might keep our numbers down. Despite the weather we got a crowd of 110 people to sign in!

We marched a bit more than 2 miles through the heart of the city. Local police were friendly and we received several friendly honks from motorists.

Afterwards we had people out to our club for pizza and further networking. Two people asked me about hosting walks in their area. More news to come on those.

I was proud of my fellow Buckeyes for braving the weather to support of the cause!
