Mike Dovilla is running to represent the citizens of Ohio in the 10th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is attempting to unseat Dennis Kucinich, who is vehemently anti-gun and anti-defense. Kucinich is a “F” rated candidate by the NRA and he has been threatening our gun rights for years. Kucinich has proven to be ineffective and the reasons why he must be defeated could fill several articles. Dovilla is a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserve. He has served at the Office of Naval Intelligence and Chief of Naval Operations’ Intelligence Unit at the Pentagon. He has been awarded a Meritorious Unit Commendation, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Dovilla also has a long record of public service. He started his career as a Presidential Management Intern at the U.S. Departments of State and Defense. He was a staff member for U.S. Senator George Voinovich, and served as a Chairman on several committees. Dovilla was later appointed by President George W. Bush to serve at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Dovilla strongly believes that the Second Amendment ensures the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms. While he has not had a chance to professionally fight for our Second Amendment rights, he will fight to help restore our Second Amendment rights as a Congressman.
Dovilla is very vocal when it comes to sharing his strong views on the Second Amendment. He states that he would oppose to passing another “assault rifle” ban, and feels that the D.C. gun ban should be lifted. He also supports a national concealed carry law, allowing citizens to carry concealed weapons in National Parks, and feels that a national “Stand Your Ground” law should be passed because its “common sense.” In addition, he also supports stopping the abuse of the BATFE by passing the BATFE Modernization and Reform Act of 2006. He also stated that he would support expanding the armed pilot program.
As Dovilla says, November 7th is D-Day (Dump Dennis Day). It is time that we fire Kucinich and send a pro-gun candidate to represent the 10th Congressional District. Stop by Dovilla’s web site to pledge your support and make sure that you vote for him on Election Day.
